If you're here for the first time, welcome! Thanks so much for stopping by. If you've been one of my amazing supporters, THANK YOU. You seriously rock my world. You've also likely noticed Bellafusion has changed quite frequently in the past year or so. I've changed the website and the products a handful of times. Sorry if I'm confusing you. For me, starting Bellafusion has been one big experiment. Don't get me wrong, when I started I was incredibly excited about having an online boutique. This wasn't just something that randomly happened and voila, I'm in biz. It took a lot of researching, planning and then getting the guts to actually do it. So as much as it is an experiment, it's been a pretty darn cool goal to carry out. So thank you for sticking with me while I learn what kind of boutique makes me happy and just feels right. I'm pumped about shifting my focus back to jewelry (where it all began) and offering more unique handmade items. I promise I won't be changing my focus again anytime soon. Also, if you're wondering where the awesome Sally B's organic skin care/make up went, it'll be back...but on a whole new site. What do you think of the new Bellafusion site?

I've always been a big fan of gratitude journals and I've learned to recognize that the simple things we experience make all the difference. When I force myself to consider what I've been thankful for on a daily basis, I have to look deeper and find joy in the most mundane, daily routines. It's a fun activity and helps spread some positive vibes out into the world. What are some of your simple thank yous?

Gettin' back to my jewelry making roots.

I've been feeling the urge to start making my own jewelry again. This is actually how Bellafusion first got started before I ventured off on a million different avenues. Although I wasn't a huge fan of attending craft shows, creating the jewelry was the fun part. It's definitely a passion of mine and a hobby that I truly get 'lost' in. I love picking out new beads or pendants to use and designing an entire piece and then working with my hands to create it. I'm excited to add some of my own handmade pieces to the Bellafusion line-up this summer/fall. 

The picture above shows just some of the gemstones I like to work with. Combining turquoise gemstone and brass chain is my fave to make and wear so expect to see lots of this.

I'm lucky enough to live incredibly close to some of the most beautiful scenery around and have promised myself I'll make good use of it now that I live in Calgary. Sometimes I so easily forget just how amazing life is here and how refreshing even an afternoon can be when you're in the mountains.

I'm a huge planner. I like knowing things are happening weeks before they actually happen. I mean, I need to think about what I'm going to wear, what jewelry will go perfect with that outfit, what snacks to pack, who I should invite and so on. I admit, it gets a little obsessive. [Proof: I asked my man what he thought I should wear on the plane to Italy almost a year in advance. He literally looked at me like I was crazy and declined to answer. It was in that moment I realized this may be out of hand]. Anyways, let's just say spontaneity isn't my usual gig. So when my man asked to head to the mountains for the afternoon I questioned him. "You mean leave right now? Like today?". Before I really had time to answer or think or plan the afternoon we were out the door and on our way. Boy am I happy I let myself just go with it and truly embrace the afternoon with no agenda. I may need to do this whole spontaneous thing more often.

Let's just get this out there - My Blogging Goal.

So, I'm all about setting goals when it comes to anything health related but haven't seemed to transfer any of that over to this blogging world yet. I know that one of the most important things when setting goals is to let other people know what it is so they can hold you accountable. So here I go. My goals is to post a minimum of once a week, on Wednesdays. YAY! So there you have it. Watch out for some fresh new posts every Wednesday. Ahh, feels so good to finally just commit to it.
